The Hipprocracy of Congress

SHAME ON CONGRESS!

The Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee today voted to hold Dr Fauci in contempt of Congress. The bigger question is how anyone can NOT have contempt for this congress. The decisions of what should be investigated and what is basically ignored could not be more partisan blatant, hypocritical and insulting to the intelligence of the American people. With the control of Congress in the Republican hands, the corruption of the Trump administration and its supporters are downplayed, ignored or deemed irrelevant, and the transgressions of the Democratic party, past and present have earth shattering repercussions and has contributed to the downfall of the American way of life and don't you forget it! The reality is not how stupid or gullible the American People are, it's how stupid and gullible these morons are to think that once the tables are turned, there won't be more time and money wasted for retribution regardless of the merits of the transgression. The precedence is set, the rule of law is mute, the rule of retribution and projectionism reigns.

The American people are not stupid, but they are tired. The current duopoly of Republicans vs Democrats leaves little opportunity for change and change isn't easy. History (if there is one) will look on this time as the darkest time in American history, where corruption is open and accepted as the norm, half of the American population is considered the enemy, the Constitution is dissected, cherry picked and misquoted to justify the exact opposite of what the constitution tried to avoid. The legal system has been corrupted to protect the powerful and ruling party and to punish the opposition. Silly me, I thought it was to protect the innocent and punish the guilty.
